Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow to engage on ‘Elucidation of defense gene net-work in zingiber zerumbet and cloning of putative genes’ in a DBT funded research project on "Prospecting Zingiber Zerumbet for molecular resources” in the laboratory of Dr. George Thomas.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Junior Research Fellow: M.Sc. in plant Sciences/Agriculture with a minimum of 60% marks. One year research experience in plant molecular Biology techniques.
AGE : Below 35 years
EMOLUMENTS
Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 12,000/- + 15% HRA in the I and II year; Rs. 14,000 + 15% HRA for III year (Consolidated per month)
Duration : Three years or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier).
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview
Suitably qualified candidates may send applications on plain paper with a photograph, a copy of full resume and attested photocopies of credentials & certificates in support of their experience in plant molecular biology techniques to reach the undersigned on or before 25th June, 2010. The envelopes must be superscripted with abbreviated title of the project, the advertisement number: Adv. # 4/ 2010 and job title. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
In the event of more than 10 candidates being short listed, a written test will be done before the selection interview. Selected candidates will be called for an interview on the same day.
