International symposium on clinical trials in Delhi

An international symposium on 'India - An Emerging Destination for Clinical Trials' will be held on January 14 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The programme organised by the Institute of Clinical Research India (ICRI), New Delhi and sponsored by the Ministry of Science & Technology will be highlighting the fundamental opportunities and challenges in conducting clinical research in India, through solution - driven sessions presented by experts from the industry and academia with practical global experience.

Fostering free discussion, the programme will concentrate on the real-world issues and look to develop a consensus on how India should move forward practically to ensure accurate, auditable and above all ethical pre and post marketing Clinical Research data.

The key note speaker will be Dr Surinder Singh, drugs controller general India who will be talking on “Current Regulatory Landscape & Future Strategies to Make India as Hub for Clinical Research,” guests of honour will be Dr G J Samanatham, head TDT & Advisor/Sc.-G, Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr T S Rao, advisor, Department of Biotechnology and Dr Arvind Pandey director, National Institute of Medical Statistics, Indian Council for Medical Research.

This programme will be beneficial for individuals involved in clinical research and development, clinical safety and pharmacovigilance,clinical trial and project management,data management, drug development and discovery, investigators site management, medical and scientific affairs, academia,outsourcing management,contract research organizations, post-graduate students entering pharmaceutical industry, procurement and purchasing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, government and public policy, lawmakers, senior and executive - level decision making for clinical trial,all stakeholders and vendors of CR industry, bio statisticians and clinical trial designers.
